MARY CATE SLAY CHOSEN FOR NEW US LACROSSE POSITION OF NATIONAL YOUTH DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR.

Highland School Head Lacrosse Coach, Mary Cate Slay has been selected to assume the new position of the Youth Development Coordinator at the sport of lacrosse's governing body, US Lacrosse. She will be relocating to the Baltimore, Maryland area this summer to assume her new position.

Coach Slay's new responsibilities will include liaising with and leading initiatives set forth by the US Lacrosse Youth Council, the B.R.I.D.G.E committee, many other US Lax departments and special events. She will be responsible for generating and soliciting articles and marketing materials specific to youth lax for the Lacrosse Magazine. Coach Slay will also manage and administrate the National Youth Awards and other major youth events, including playing a large role with the annual convention (in Philadelphia again in 2007 and 2008)

Coach Slay will be working with the numerous volunteers for youth non-profits and helping starter programs in areas all over the country.

Highland has begun a search to replace Coach Slay in the position of Head Coach, Girl's Lacrosse.
